Are you tired of your routine work and in taking care of your children? Find your strength in God. Follow the example of the psalmist. He said, "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever" (Psalm 73:25-26).

5 Things I was Thankful Yesterday
During our evening meeting, I was able to recapitulate the learning I had the past week. This kind of meeting is a regular activity of Yaksu Church. These are the 5 things I am thankful for:
- For Rev. Sul, Dong Ju, the Senior Pastor of Yaksu Presbyterian Church, ownership is a very important ministry value. He said "Don't say, 'Yaksu Church'; say instead, 'Our Church' ".
- Pray harder all the more despite the fact that people are giving generously even in time of economic difficulty
- Leadership is all about tapping the potential and skills of other people and maximizing them to supplement your weakness. You cannot have all the talents in the world. You need the expertise of others.
- I am reminded again of Rev. Sul's 3 core values: health, prayer and work. He did not say this; I just observe them the way he does the ministry. In terms of work, excellence is his standard.
- I am thankful to the Lord for sending MunHee Kim to Yaksu Church to be our interpreter. I hope and pray that she will stay long.
Thank you Lord, I am done reading this essay
I am now finished reading the 10 pages essay, "The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Inflation". I'll share it once I am done writing my reflection on it.
Longer Sleep this April
1st day of April. My morning prayer assignment changed from 5:50 to 6:50. Oh, thank God, I can sleep longer!

Replacing Fear with Joy and Courage
Just finished English Worship. I feel tired, but satisfied. I preached from Matthew 28:1-20. The title of my message is "Replacing Fear with Joy and Courage". I will share it later in "Only By Grace" after I revise it suitable for blog readers.

The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Inflation
I finished 4 out of 10 pages in "The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Inflation". I'm thinking of sharing it in another link. I think I can do it later this day.
God Loves a Cheerful Giver
I have hesitation to give offering this morning. It's painful for me. But I remember what the apostle Paul said, "God loves a cheerful giver" (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Bringing Reading Materials with Me
2nd worship at 9AM. I have 3 chapters of reading materials with me from the book, "Introduction to Christian Economics". I am finished with Chapter 1, "The Biblical Critique of Inflation". I am planning to share my reflection on this chapter this week.
Bringing reading materials with me is my way to fight sleepiness during worship service. Though I can read Korean language now, but I understand almost nothing. It's hard to sit for so long without making your brain busy. So this is my way to make my brain busy.
The three chapters are about:
- Chapter 2 - The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Inflation
- Chapter 3 - Inflation: The Economics of Addiction
- Chapter 4 - Gold's Dust

Resurrection Sunday
Today, March 31, 2013 is "Resurrection Sunday". I am still here in Gwacheon City, South Korea. This is my 177th day here. 153 days more left before I will see again my children.
Early this morning at 5:30 AM, I attended Sunrise Worship at Jongsin Church together with 2 other Filipinos and Korean pastors, evangelists, elders and members from Yaksu Church. Though I do not understand the language and felt sleepy, I manage to stay awake through self-discipline. It's a very long worship and I don't have any reading material with me to fight my sleepiness.

After worship, Jongsin Church gave a ginger drink. It tastes good. Then I returned to the Mission House to check our heater. I forgot to turn it off.
After eating bread and watching TV, I returned to Yaksu at 7:30. We prepared eggs for Easter Sunday.
Happy Resurrection Sunday to all of you!
